Bolivar grew up in Ecuador. Some of the human phrases he knows are in Spanish. His favorites are “Quieres galletas?” (“do you want to eat?”, or more closely “do you want some kibble?”), “Quieres ir a caminar?” (“do you want to go for a walk?”) and “Dame la mano” (“shake”).

Because of the way he perks up when he hears Spanish, we bust it out when we need a good, cute, cocked-head pose for a picture, like some of the ones below. Never fails!
